This article outlines a step-by-step method to set your notification preferences.

Customize Your Notification Channels and Types 

Jack understands that each user has different needs and preferences on what and where they would get notified. Some prefer to use push notifications for timely alerts in their mobile phone, while others prefer to get notified only in Jack Portal. Your convenience is our priority, thus Jack enables you to be flexible in choosing which additional channels you are convenient to use along with the information type for each channel. 

You can personalize your own notification settings by accessing Jack’s Notification Setting page. Inside this page, there is a list of notification types (e.g. your transaction activities, approval items, etc.), and you can choose the options to receive that information in extra channels, such as through push notifications. Even though you choose to disable notifications from push notifications, you will still receive all important, updated information on the Notifications page in Jack Portal and App (Learn more about the Notification feature in this article).

You are not able to customize your email preference at this moment. As a result, you will still receive emails from us by default. Please be assured that we are dedicated to providing you with the option to personalize your email settings in the near future. The email will be sent to your registered email in Jack (you can see your registered email in your ‘Profile’ or ‘Account’ section), and push notifications can only be sent if you have installed and allowed notifications from Jack App on your mobile device (Click on this link to download Jack App, then check this article to know how to allow notifications from Jack App). 


You only need to set up your notification settings once in either Jack Portal or App, as the settings are synced real-time in both platforms.


How to Set Your Notification Preferences in Jack Portal


All users in Jack can set up their own notification preferences in Jack Portal. You can do it anytime you want by following these 5 steps:

  1. In the Homepage, open the Menu from the bottom-left side of your page. 

  1. Select the Settings option. 

  1. Under the Account section, navigate to the Notifications menu.

*This notification settings page is accessible to all users.

  1. Check the  ‘Mobile Push’ column if you wish to receive the information from push notification (Jack App) and uncheck it if you do not want.

  1. Click the Save Changes button and your preference will be updated real-time. 

 





How to Set Your Notification Preferences in Jack App

Follow these 5 steps to set up notification in Jack App:

  1. Navigate to the Account page.


  1. Click on the Notifications menu.


  1. There is a ‘Channels’ column. Click on the channel option next to the notification type that you want to change.

*This notification settings page is accessible to all users.


  1. Select your preferred notification channels from the dropdown list (‘Email’ or ‘Email & Push’). 


Unlike in Jack Portal, you don’t need to save the changes as the change will immediately be saved and implemented real-time in Jack App.
